V70 Manual transmission question? V70-XC70

Hi,
I'm new to Volvo's, maybe, and I would like to know if the 1999 V70's WITHOUT traction control have a limited slip differential. The car in question has a manual transmission.

    Volvo has never had a limited slip on 850/70 series so the answer
    is basically no.

    However, the European version of the S70 R (not sold in the U.S.)
    had a viscous coupling that worked similar to a limited slip so the
    answer might be 'kind of' if this is a manual tranny European R model.
    I suspect these also have TRACS. (I'm not sure if there was a FWD V70 R
    in Europe.)

    TRACKS is meant to work at low speed starts in ice/snow and does
    not really aid in full throttle starts. A 1999+ might handle full throttle
    a bit better then earlier models since it can also back off the throttle
    using the throttle's elctronic controls -- earlier models used a
    conventional cable connected to the gas pedal and TRACS can only apply
    the brakes on those cars. I mention this since a lot of people think
    TRACS is for more then slow speed, stuck in gunk, conditions.
