Koni Sport's and Stock Springs 850

I'm about to invest in a set of Koni Sports (adjustable) on all four corners of my '94 NA. I'm mainly using this car for street driving, and monthly autocross. I'm looking for the best combination of comfort and performance. I don't want to go too hard or too low on the springs. I was thinking of the IPD sport springs, but I'm a student and an extra $200 is going to be hard to scrounge. How much better would the performance of these be compared to the stock springs?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt- since your car is a basic stocker(suspension wise: soft shocks & springs), you may need to upgrade the springs too. In my case I have the "R" suspension on my 854T5, so I just changed out the struts/shocks and kept the springs, which are pretty stiff. Maybe you can check a slavage yard(or online) and get the springs from an R model, which will be "softer" than IPD, which is stiff and lowered. BTW, (since you're a student and all) I don't think the adjusting on the KONIs is worth the extra $$$! It's a pain to adjust every time and you don't really notice the difference. I think aft u adjust, it takes X miles to change over(by that time u may be ready to switch back for street use.) So, if $$ is a concern, I would go with the Bils, and it should be good for your monthly autocross. Or do like I did and just put the Konis in front & Bils in the back.
Holla, B!

I have a 97 R. Could you explain why you have K's in front and B's in back? How did you figure this out? What do you like about each?

Thanks

I have Koni Sport and iPd springs, and I like the combo quite a bit. I have not had any experience with springs other than the stock ones, but I definitely did not like the Konis with the stock springs-it seemed to be a bad match, with the Koni stiffness not well matched with the stock spring lack of stiffness.
