headlight wipers/no washer fluid? 850 1995

Can anyone fill me in on what might be the reason why when I depress the
windshield fluid handle that I am not getting fluid to the headlight washers?
Is there a valve on each one that could be clogged? I just replaced my headlight
wipe blades and checked to see if they were working properly when I discovered the above. I really could care less about those wipers but if they are there they might as well work.
Thanx!

Is there an easy fix? 850 1994

My headlight wipers don't work. I can hear what sounds like a motor running on both sides but no movement. Is there some easy fix I can try... or something common to check?

    Thanks

Are the wipers properly attached to the splineshaft? Is the splineshaft even operating? You can remove the wiper arms (10mm socket, I think) and have activate them so you can check.

headlight wipers are great 850 1995

On my 40-minute winter commute, I can't tell you what a relief it is not to have to pull over at least once on snowy days to clean off my headlights. Even when my car has been splattered by salt and winter road slime, my headlights are clean. The wipers move snow and slush with ease. (A friend who owns a BMW complains how useless his hi-pressure sprayer is.) Are they perfect? No. Are they better than nothing? Absolutely. Way better. Personally, I'll never buy another car without a headlight clearing mechanism. Now if I could just get a rear wiper on my S70....

There is a t-value that very often fails. If you raise hood, wiggle and pull on pass. side tubing and follow it as best you can, valve is in front of radiator, behind bumper maye 12 inches from light. T valves are sticked by dealers or places like IPDUSA.COM as have them. Very easy to replace.

Personally I don't think wipers clean very well as far as bugs & mud. Although like you, I feel if it there, it really should be working. Where I do love headlight wipers is driving through snow. One flick of switch and visibility returns!
