how do I change a fog light bulb 850

I purchased my t5r a little over two months ago. One of the fog lights burnt out so I bought a new bulb. The only problem is I can't seem to figure out how to take apart/un-screw? the fog light in order to put the new bulb in. I am still waiting for the manual from my dealer so I really have no idea. When I get down there I have very little clearance because of the low R front spoiler, so I really didn't want to poke aroung with stuff that I couldn't even see. If anyone has replaced a fog light bulb and could shed some light on exactly how to dot it would help me out a lot. Thanks.

how do I change a fog light bulb 850

    Hi,

just done this myself a few weeks ago when i upgraded my to those extra 30% bright bulbs. As mentioned in the pervious post use ramps or as i did a jack as its a real pain.

Disconnect the cables first and give them a good clean.

Turn the black hold 1/4 of the way to pop them out, The one be trhe screen wash needs some fiddling to manouver out.

I replaced my fog units quite a few years ago as the pervious set literally burnt out reflector. The newer design are of ceramic design whilst the older are plastic. Also if you crack a glas its cheaper to buy the wholeset again honest, which i did.

Anyway clean up the contacts as the moisture will have got in over time.

thats its, as the say fitting is the reversal. It is a real pain though trying to insert the flylead from the holder, so beaway of a few fout letter words whilst doing it !

    mark in the leeds/uk.

If I remember correctly, There are 2 pieces to the fog lamp, the metal and glass housing and a black plastic wiring connection. You will need to turn the black plastic part about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to disconnect it. There are about 3 inches of wiring connected to the bulb. The bulb is held into the fog lamp by a spring clip which is a real pain in the a-- to work with. I suggest putting the car up on ramps to do this job.
