PLEASE HELP - Where to start with A/C problem? 850

Hi all,

Im from the uk and today we had the first A/C weather of the year.I had the climate control dials round to max coldness with the fan on max.The air coming out of the vents was ever so slighty cold.I could not hear the compressor cycling that people mension.

Does anyone know the steps i should take to track down the problem?

    But 1 can only 14 oz max no more than that it will cost problem I just did mine 2 days ago and over charger have to take to dealer to done it correctly...


    Buy a kit at any store is cost about $30... and just plug and play.. cake walk

    Search down on this page -- there are about 5 air conditioning threads.
    Most common problem is slow leaking refrigerant.

    Have you checked if there is enough or too much refridgerant in the system yet? It's a pretty simple procedure, you'll need an A/C pressure gauge and adapter hose. The A/C valve is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. The cap is black and is labelled 6 nM max.

    Not sure how to check if your compressor is malfunctioning.
