How so I test the servo on the cruise control? 850 1994

I have checked the fuse, the vacuum hoses for leaks, the switch that touches the brake pedal (vacuum and electrics O.K.), and now suspect the servo under the battery tray. How do I go about checking it?

Use a vacuum pump. If the servo's good, you'll see it depress the gas pedal and hold vacuum.
Brake pedal switches (and/or clutch pedal on MT cars) being NG or out of adjustment is the most common problem on 850s. I've also seen bad vacuum lines near the battery.
