Rear speakers don't work 850 1994

Hi,
The rear speakers in my '94 850 don't seem to work. Any ideas?
Thanks,

I had a similiar problem in my 94 850 turbo... eight speakers in the car and some sounded bad, or just didn't work... after a little research I learned Volvo bowed to environmental concerns and used an "environmentally friendly glue" ... not only to hold speaker magnets on, but to also adhere the fabric to the headliner...

The glue sucks...especially in high heat as is the case here in Austin, Texas.

The headliner in my 850 has been replaced at no charge and I have had to reglue magnets to make them work...I'm now have a sagging fabric on the sunroof material... back to gluing.

I know this may sound stupid, but did you check the Fader control? If that's okay, check out the speakers themselves. The smaller magnet may had come loose and got stuck to the larger magnet. This happened to one of my rear speakers, instead of replacing the entire unit, I just epoxyed the small magnet back into place.

Pull out the radio......Do not unplug it ............Just make sure the small plug is in and secure .
