Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes double din sized navigation/dvd systems. I dont want the aftermarket look, and I dont want things poping out every which way. I want a flush unit that would fit directly into my 850. Any help is appreciated. ~Cody

Check out the Blaupunkt stuff......It looks good in the 850 and will work well
I seel the in- dash Nav and 5 cd changer in dash for about $ 2500 installed
at my store....They bolt together and look factory as one unit .I have a link on my website for Blau ...

No kit fits any car perfectly without a plate to go around the unit. Are these plates available? Yes. How much? Should be less then $30, even though it's just some black plastic.

I have a double DIN on my 98' Maxima SE 5 spd as well, and I am actually buying a pressure sensitive LCD screen to install in mine. I am going to run a hard drive, ram, and pentium 3 processor on it. It will be used to run MP3's, nitrous controls (remote bottle opening, and arming), and depending on what suspension I get, I may also have it adjust the shock absorbers (I helped my buddy already design such a system for his Koni adjustable shocks).

About the only drawback I can see is boot up time. Even on a barebones system, it will still take about 1-1.5 minutes to boot up. The quickest booting up OS is probably XP, but XP is hard to work with if you want to set up controls for nitrous and shocks.

Your best bet is to go to an auto sound shop that specializes in custom installs. BTW, this will easily cost $3000.

The answer is NO; cause volvos size for its opening is UNIQUE. I can't even find a cd/radio/tape unit that would fit FLUSH. Anyway there are a few Pioneer Navi units that will fit with a little alteration and it folds awayh when not in use. good luck. BD
