Hi,
I got same problem last summer. The flex is probably broken and it come with the exhaust manifolf itself in one piece. I tried to find a "jobber" part but they all redirect me to the dealer. I also tried to find a used one but apparently, a 10 valve is very rare and very hard to find part such as an exhaust manifold (10 valves and 20 valvel do not have the same exhaust manifold) You may try to go see a welder... maybe he will be able to install you a new flex (try to find a similar flex that will fit) on your current exhaust manifold. From my side, I choose the dealer and got the part for 650$ canadian + 20$ for the seal+nuts kit. I install it myself (damm, the part is so expensive, I WILL INSTALL -IT myself to prevent other expense...) It's very easy to install. The only things that will be hard will be a the lower jonction. You will have to unscrew the 4 screws there and they may be little rusted ... So, you will have to remove the heat recuperator (if equiped with), unscrew the 8 (i think, maybe 10) screws from the engine/exhaust manifold, unscrew the 4 screws at the jonction to the catalyst and there you go. Then, you will have to put the new one in place. Very easy. It's easier doing it with an helper. Someone can work under the car while the other keep the exhaust manifold in place. If you need anything else, just buzz me.
Have fun!
