Dunlop SP Sport A2 tires S70 1999

I am still shoping for tires. Has anyone tried the Dunlop SP Sport A2 on their S-70? Do you recommend them? The price installed is $73 per tire plus Balance, Valve stem and Road Hazard warranty if desired. THANKS for any advice. MH

    Dunlop SP Sport A2 tires S70 1999

Thanks for the responses. I purchased the SP Sport A2. I have driven them 25 miles so far and am pleased. I also went up to size 205-60-15. The 4 tires were $297 out the door. I drove a few miles on the interstate at 75 MPH and then it rained and I drove them in light rain. I am very discerning with my tires and the only difference I have noticed is the A2 has less road noise than the Mich MXV4, but the Dunlop A2 do not seem to absorb the shock from a bump in the road as well as the Mich MXV4, but I am still comparing at this point and again I am very pleased with the A2. Thanks for everyone's help. MH

I put them on my 99, S-70GLT last week. At 21000 miles the OEM Mich MXV4 tires tread were down to 4/32 from 9/32. I haven't put to much mileage on them, however, a few days ago in a heavy rain I found their grip, and cornering ability to be very good in the wet.
The SP Sport A2 is the replacement for the Dunlop D60 A2. A few years ago I replaced the MXV4's on my 850GLT (at 19000 miles) with D60 A2 tires, and was very pleased with their handling.
I bought the four SP Sport A2 tires from a large tire chain in the NYC area. Total cost was $325 which included tax, mounting, balance and stems.

    MH,

I had these installed on my 2000 S70SE last week, and I have been nothing but pleased with the result. The ride is quiet and they handled well in wet conditions. I went with 205x60X15 as opposed to 195x60x15. They ran $57 a pop delivered from tirerack.com and I then had the dealer install them as part of my 45K servicing. The dealer then backed out the "balance and rotatation" charge from the servicing.

Probably only have 300 miles on them at this point, so that is about all that I can say about them. So far so good. You can find reviews, including some by S70 owners, at the above-referenced web site.

    Dave
