Rear spring mounts need replacement? S70 1998

I got light knocking sounds coming from my rear section whenever I pass through speed bumps or irregular road surfaces......are my rear spring mounts going? Pls advise any other parts I should look out for.

Another possibility is that the nut at the top of the shocks has loosened to the point that there is movement of the shock when you hit a bump. This happened to me and tightening the nut solved the problem.

Good luck

You should be able to look under there and see somewhere that is shiny, or signs of rubbing. That should get you there.

Hi, what shiny parts should I look out for? The spring rubber the mounting plate or some other parts?

Around the spring, or anywhere close that shows signs of rubbing. If it's clunking, may be metal to rubber. If it's a sharper sound, could be metal to metal.
