Using/Programming Memory Seats 850 1995

Hey all,
I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, and didn't see any responses. -I'm not trying to be annoying, but I thouth I'd try one more time.
The memory seats on my T-5R don't seem to be working. When any of the buttons are presed I can hear one or two different relays clicking. (This happens on both drivers and passengers sides). One sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the dashboard. The other maybe from the seat itself. Is there some secret to programming the seats, they haven't worked for a while, and I'm assuming that its since my last battery change.
All power functions of seats work in all directions, but is there something really stupid I'm missing, or is there a spot to start trouble shooting from?

Thanks again in advance,
~Jonathan

Sounds like the cable from the buttons to the seat. My back seat would not go backward or forward and the motor would make a sound. Checked with my mech. and $141.00 later, the back seat worked. Give it a try from a novice.

Have you tried to program them? Set it, hold the 'mem' button down, and depress the 1 button.

First off - can you adjust the seats with forward/rearward and seatback angle with the controls near the memory buttons ?

I ask because a common failure on the 850's is for the cable that controls the front seat backs to break. This results in noise but no movement of the seatback. If this is the prob - go to Bay 13 for excellent instruction on how to fix.

If the seats adjustments work - then as the other poster suggest do this:
1) Adjust the seat to the way you want
2) Hold the #1 button and memory buttom down at the same time for about 5 second
3) for other drivers do the same thaing using the #2 and then #3 button for up to 3 different seat settings.

See if the above helps and let us know.

nathan
