Sony CD changer S70 1998

Well I ended up buying the 98 S70 GLT. It has the single in dash CD, but I also have a Sony CD 10 disc changer I would like to put in either my 96 850 or the 98 S70.
Where would i begin to see if the present CD changer connections would be able to take and interface properly with the Sony changer. Or does Volvo have proprietary connectors?

Gregg

Volvo does have proprietary connectors. The Volvo 6-disc or a proper Alpine 6-disc with adapter cable is necessary to use the SC-816 controls. To use that Sony 10-disc you'll have to get an FM modulator.

Sorry!

P.S. Watch eBay, you can often find great deals on the Volvo/Alpine unit. It's real simple to install yourself and I got mine for 170 (brand new) from eBay! Many other brickboarders too I believe....
