Why from Texas?

I found a car I like a lot, and a local dealer (MA) got it out of Texas.
He says he happens to have a friend that like to fly out and drive back cars for him, but was wondering if there is anything to watch out for cars out of Texas.

I know there was flood in/near Houston a year or so ago, and the car checked out ok by carfax/autocheck & my mechanic (competent).

If not mechanical issues to watch, any potential paper loopholes?
Someone mentioned not as rigorous title branding in some states, and wondering how it is in Texas.

TIA.

Check out the Consumer Reports issue of a month or two ago. The article discusses unoficial repair of salvage autos and how the titles are cleaned up and the values of the cars are inflated by passing the car from dealer to dealer and state to state. Insurance companies actually facilitate this manipulation.

If that's the same car that you've seen listed by 4 dealers and all fairly recent (as mentioned in your other post), I'd definately re-consider as to me that's suspicious IMHO.
