Climate control 'blinking' V70-XC70

I have a problem with my climate control in that the "recycler" and "off" button are blinking which has left the fan inoperable. The manual states that I should bring it in. Has anyone had this problem???
Thanks,
Mike

I sometimes get this when the roof vent is open, and it's already hot inside the car from solar glare. Goes away when I shut the roof..or after 30 secs or so.

When I had a bad steping motor in the climate control system, which had been acting up for months, it finally started blinking the error code as you have seen. The dealer can find out the code. It can signify many different things.

I've had this on my climate control. The blinking lights for the first 20 secs after start up indicate that the climate control computer has detected a fault with the system. The exact fault can only be found by connecting OBD to the car and reading the error log. In my case it was just a faulty sensor but yours sounds different.

I had this same problem in my 98 V70T-5, and you don't want to know what it was... Suffice to say - it needs to be looked at by the dealer in order to decode what the car is trying to tell you.

As painful as it may be for you to share, I'd like to hear the diagnosis. Mine acted up Tuesday when I switched the fan on, but not using the A/C. It may have reset as last night it seemed to spin up fine with the heat on.
