To keep Juliette warm in dark!! 850

Please
Does anybody know of a quick and easy way to stop the lights from working while the engine is running?? My girlfriend and me sometimes have stop for a kiss and a cuddle on quiet country roads, and leave engine run for heater, but lights bring too much attention. I need them off for this time, but need the heater in winter weather. Please if you can help.

if you need to disable the DRL and you don't have a little screwdriver thingy. i did this, i can get my DRL's off, but not my parking lights.

I have done as you sugest, but my parking lights (front and rear) still stay on. Is there a way around this, so I can park in total darkness while the engine is running??

unforutunately, you'd have to alter the switch internals to turn off the parking lights. it sucks, but unless you want to fiddle with some delicate plastic parts, i'd just leave it. besides buying another switch, that's the best you can do.

Doh. I once had 740 turbo, and all that required was remove fuse for DLR's and all was dark. I wish 850 was similar.

On the S70 there is a little flathead screw next to the headlight switch that can be used to turn off the DRLs. Not sure about the 850.

850 is the same. It's on the lower right corner of the light switch...Push in and turn left = Off..

The screw for DRL is only on the US models... we Canadians have to have them on all the time... so we do not have the option to switch off the lights stock... I am sure that the us part number can be quite easily ordered and installed in a Canadian model?

See my post DRL / Fogs around here... there is a solution to turning off Canadian DRLs.
