i have a 96 850 Turbo sedan i am looking for a performance aftermarket ecu. i want something that will have significant hp gain as well as not taking a toll on my engine. i want something that won't always keeps check engine lights on and always have troubles with. please relay me to some good ecu's for my car that would not give me trouble. thanks for the help!!

Check out IPD ( http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsList.aspx?subSubCategoryID=211 ) they ARE the most expensive ($895), but they have the best HP/Torque increase, longest warranty, and definately the most reliable and trusted company that makes the ECUs for Volvos. My 2nd choice would be PES (www.pes-tuning.com) at $650 w/ 40hp gain... its not a bad deal. But IPD is a better one and will be more reliable in the long run. I have an 850 turbo and S70 R wagon, and have used the IPD ecu upgrades for both cars. They are reliable, safe, and made by a company (TME) who specializes in Volvo performance, racing, etc.
