I sure am glad you people love your Volvo's and are willing to share your information. I have learned and saved so much. Thanks a bunch!

CEL on AGAIN. I have changed both front and rear O2 sensors because codes indicated. Now I have this P0172, "fuel system to rich, bank #1". I have about 25,000 miles on Bosch Platinum plugs and about 6,000 on Bosch cap and rotor. This is getting expensive! Suggestions?

hi arlan. dave's right. do not just change stuff because you pulled a certain code. more often than not, there are other underlying causes. if you find a vacuum leak, then you changed one or both 02 sensors for nothing. check the most likely places. see volvospeed on locations of the more common ones. if not there, check under the battery, the vacuum hoses there are also suseptible to leaks.
good luck.

Find the real cause for why you're getting the codes, most likely a vacuum hose leak (not both O2 sensors or other parts).
