I have noticed that myt 2001 v40 scrapes quite a bit more than other cars i've had, everytime i go into a slanted sidewalk at a speed more that 10 MPH, BUMP!!! I just wanted to know of people do scrape in their v40s also would the only way to get rid or this is to get stiff shocks and bilstein shocks???

youre telling me that a $500 '72 monte carlo, a $1000 '77 camaro, a $5000 99 t-bird and even a Free '65 Dart do go into my parking lot trouble free, and my $27,000 v40 hits like a crashing plane (maybe not that bad)

I think the v40 has less ground clearance than those cars. I have noticed this too, I know I hate it when the car hits like that, the only thing that helps is to slow down. On the bright side I have noticed that the only thing that hits it the tow loop (it gets scraped). I don't like it, but I have learned to take it a little easier when going into a sloped entry.

Try going out at an angle.

going out at an angle does work but i am talking about the times that when you are making a left turn and a car is coming up, you accelerate and go into the parking lot, you hear the magic BUMP!!!

I have a 2000 s40 and I have noticed a grind noise often how when I go over speed bumps that I usually do. I never got this noice when I frist got the car ain july 2000. The speed bumps are in my works parking lot.
