A/C lights blinking 850 1996

Greetings....
Stopped at the store yesterday, and when I got back in the car and started it, I thought the recirculate and A/C indicator lights were both blinking. What could this mean? The a/c seems to be working just fine.
Anyone ever seen or heard of this?
Thanks!

    A/C lights blinking 850 1996

My '96 850 did this on a hot day last June. I also noticed that the A/C was not cooling as good as has in the past. So I went to my auto parts store and bought a $27 refrigerant coolant kit including the gauge to monitor while refilling. It was real easy, the A/C works alot better and the lights don't flash anymore.

My 95 850glt also does it. It can do it in the middle of winter when nobody has even used it... I think it just acts as a reminder that your car likes you :)

Just means that the a/c system has detected an "error" code. If the weather is very hot and humid, it's likely just the temp sensor. My '97 does it all summer. Had the mechanic check it a few times, but there was never anything wrong. I've learned to ingore it for a few months out of the year, as long as it blows cold.
