I took my 99 V70 GLT to AutoZone to get the "Check Engine" light diagnosed and the code read: "P1174" - Camshaft Position Sensor fault. Does anybody have any ideas where this sensor is located & how can I get this part to replace it? AutoZone rep. told me not to take to take it the dealer because of the service they charged. I have not tried to call the dealer for this part yet.

If you V70 is still undr warranty I would let the dealer do it. The problem with the CPS is a known issue.....but thats not to say they will do if under warranty if the warranty is no longer in force. You could always look for a bit of "good will" from your dealers service dept......that should not be a problem IF you use their service all the time.

My car is out of warranty - I have all ready put 61K miles on this car.
