Washer Fluid T-Junction 850 1995

Greetings. The washer fluid stopped coming out of one of the 2 sprayer nozzles. I went under the hood, disconnected the hose from the t-junction and tried the washer again. Fluid came out of the main hose, so according to bay 13 it is the t-junction. Does anybody know the part number for the t-junction for a 95 854?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Washer Fluid T-Junction - Fix it 850 1995

All there is inside the T is a small coil spring and a round rubber flap.

On our '95 850, the flap had turned to goo, on our '90 740 Turbo, the flap had a rip in it.

At ozbrick.com they have instructions on how to cut a small bit of dishwashing glove to replace the flap.

Actually you do not really need instructions as the T comes apart easilly.

I fixed both and my wife never noticed the missing bits of rubber. They both have worked for 3 months now.

Just bought one at dealer $5.69. 1392074 is the part number and at http://www.newandusedvolvoparts.com, it's $3.22. Shipping would probably bring it up to what you could get it for at the dealer. Did mine in about 15 minutes.

Here's a picture to make sure this is what you want. http://img.eautopartscatalog.com/live/P718051155.JPG

I did not purchase the OEM t-junction, I just got one from a local auto parts store for 2 dollars (actually 2 t-valves for $2). It worked just as well. Did you try cleaning the defective side's washer nozzle with a pin?

I didn't try using a pin only because both heads on the right nozzle were no longer spraying. I figured it was something other than the nozzle. I'll try the pin trick and if that doesn't work I'll head down to the auto store. Thanks for the tip.
