how can you tell the if you have the gold edition? we bought the car new, but I can't find the sticker. I know it was a demo, & they usually show the most dressed up for them, but I don't remember the salesperson mentioning it.
thanks for any input.

    was there a gold edition? i was only aware of the 1996 platinum edition...

        Gold edition would be an aftermarket kit installed on a car. It usually includes gold plated badging and nameplates as well as a few other gold touches here and there.

          Oh yeah, I know about that stuff. They apply an electrolytic solution and there you have it..."gold". It's just that the original message pointed out that it was a...factory package...

    I have a Gold Edition 850 Turbo, and it will say "Gold Edition" emblem on the right of the Volvo emblem on the rear of the car. Another way to tell is if the Volvo logos and emblems on the outside of the car are gold colored.

      ok, thanks. that would make sense, wouldn't it? I looked at your pictures and mine looks like yours, except I have the dark interior with wood trim, just no rear spoiler.(well, have one, just haven't mounted it yet). good looking car though, enjoy it!
