Sticking gas lock 850 1995

My gas door lock is sticking in the closed position. It doesn't unlock unless I pull the manual handle behind the panel.

Anyone had any luck lubing the solenoid with silicone lube or another product?

    Sometimes a little lube helps, sometimes making sure the latch and solenoid plunger aren't binding, but mostly the solenoids go bad.
