Can anyone tell me how to remove the break lense housing on a V70. I lost the owners' manual and the bulb has burnt out for a couple of weeks now. The indicator light on the dash board light up each time we use the break. I looked at the housing and failed to see any screw or anything holding it together. - Thanks in advance.

In my V70, the way back pillers(hatch frame) has tiny speakers in them. There is a small pop-off tab which I think is related to the speakers. Other than that, the plastic trims do not appear to have any other point of attachment. I will try and pry things off tonight.

Older V70? If it works like most Volvos, inside the way back area, pull out the hatch plate, then remove the assembly holding the lights. In my car, the holder is pretty much a friction fit...if I pull back on one end, it just pulls away. It's easy. You might need a flat screwdriver for prying.

On an 850 wagon you access it from inside. There is a plastic panel
that pops off behind the light (no tools needed). The entire bulb
housing then comes out in one piece (there is a plastic tab you push
on). Not sure if 70 series is the same but just replaced a brake bulb
last week on our 850 wagon and it was easy and no tools at all.
