Oil? V70-XC70

Is Mobil 1 suitable for my B5244S2 engine or would you recommend something else?
Car is auto, 3 years old, covered about 40K miles.

    I've used Mobil 1 (10W-30) in all my past Volvos (4 of them) and never had a problem. If you change oil @3K then you may as well use dino oil as it's a waste of money for synthetics. With syn oils you can safely go 5K-7K (depending on your driving conditions) which helps take the 'sting' out of the extra cost. If you have a turbo then I would definitely would use syn oil. It will help the turbo last longer.

    I use AMSOIL (1998 S70 T5)

      Mobil 1 10W30 or 0W40 V70-XC70

      0W40 is harder to find. However, it meets the Mercedes standard and is ACEA B3, not B1 as Mobil 1 10W30 is. Opinions?
