Windshield Washer 850 1996

The motor sounds like it is working, the tubes are all connected and the reservoir is full. Yet, it is not working. Any thoughts?

    Windshield Washer - T-valve repair 850 1996

If it is your T-valve, you can repair it.

All there is inside is a small spring and a rubber disk. Just pop the red cap off.

I repaired two of mine. One had a hole in the disk, the other had its disk turn to goo.

I used a piece of dishwashing glove as shown on ozbrick. Both have been working for 4 months now.

BTW - I removed the entire hood pad from my '95 854 and found a mouse nest. And we have three cats!

    Windshield Washer 850 1994

Most likely the T-valve is broken. You can find this little plastic T-valve under the sound-deadening material of the hood. Just remove the circular plastic retainers near the windshield side of the liner. Follow the washer fluid tubing; the valve is located midway between the washer outlets.

You can try cleaning it out with a wire or just buy a replacement.
