I was going to put Zimmerman rotors and Mintex pads on my 854 this weekend, but I've heard a bad thing or two about this combo. Anyone have any experience with it? The stuff is in a box beside my desk, it just came UPS.

Put the Zims and Mintex pads on this weekend...I love them. No squealing and they feel great. Been easy on them so far, hopefully they'll keep quiet!!!

I recently saw the New and Used Volvo Parts.com website advertise 2 850 front crossdrilled rotors by Zimmerman with Mintex pads for $139.00. The list price was $275.00, so this sounds like a good deal. Item # 5551238.
Has anyone purchased this set and if so, what was your experience. Fred.

I put the Zims with the Mintex setup on my Jetta...worked just fine. Although down the road I did the fronts with Brembos...world of difference on looks. The Zims rust out quickly...not in a lack of performance way...they just rusted in the drill holes and edges, looked cheap. And I live in a dry mountain climate.

The Brembo's look as new as the day I got them. Neither is a poor performer, I just prefer the Brembo's, and will be hunting for the best deal around to get a set for the 97 850.

Love the Mintex Red Box pads...virtually dust free.

I heard mostly good things, which is why I bought them. I got two e-mails saying they squealed quite a bit. One guy said he was taking them off for OEM stuff.

I have both items on my '98 C70. I have ben very pleased with the rotors and pads. Very little dust on the wheels and they don't fade as the OEM rotors and pads did.
Did you happen to buy these on Ebay? One more thing, they don't squeal.
