Hi I have a 2000 s40 and I noticed just recently, that the car drifts to the left. I have had it aligned twice, had volvo check it out, and they said it was a bad tire. I just bought new tires, purelli p4000 and had the tires rotated. Same problem, tires flip floped, front and back, and still drifts to the left. Volvo, now will not return my calls reguarding the situation. Has anyone else had this problem??

Has it only been the dealer that looked at/aligned it? Try going to an independant shop or a Midas/CarX/Mineke. Alignment should be cheap and last for a long time.....unless you have had significant collision damage to this vehicle, it should stay in alignment

I found my dealer is hopeless when it comes to alignment and balancing tires. I use a Porsche racing shop, if a car is stable at 150 it ought to be stable at 70, don't you think? It may cost more, but it's bettter than bringing the car back 3 times.

The only "repair" I've had on my S40 was a patch and reballance on the left front tire. Had it done at a local tire shop. I actually have a pretty good opinion of my dealer but wouldn't go to them for minor stuff like oil changes, alignment, and such.

Come to think of it, my dealer doesn't do tires or alignments.
