BULB FAILURE POSITION LIGHT and other oddities S60 2001

Tonight when I turned the car on, I got a message BULB FAILURE POSITION LIGHT. I read through some past problems about this from the website and I checked all the parking lights and the are all on. What else can I do without ripping the trunk liner apart? Is this a problem that will be under warranty to fix?

Other problems: I've had 3 flat tires in my first year of ownership of the car. The first one was a nail at 900 miles, but the second two (17000 and 23000 miles) were both slits down the side wall of the tires. Both were original tires (not replacements) and on different rims. They happened one happened in Tampa and the other in Atlanta (so no one is slashing them). Has anyone else had problems with the Michelins or am I just really unlucky?

Another problem: From time to time (it's only happened 3 times in the last few weeks) when accelerating from a stop at an easy acceleraltion the transmission will slip, causing the engine to rev up to about 4000 RPM. After that the transmission catches and the car drives fine. The dealership said that no problem was reported on the computer. Anyone else have this problem?

Otherwise the car is great, although I do resent it a bit for the 3 flats.
