Recomendations For New Tires V70-XC70

I'd appreciate a recomendation for new tires for my 1999
V70
My usage is 90% expressway high speed, and the stock alloy
wheels are on the car.
My co workers have recomended the Goodyear Aquatreds.
Does anyone have experience with them?
I plan to keep the car for at least another 10 years, and it
now has about 41,000 miles on the original tires.
I live in Westchester County, NY. Our climate for the last few
years has been a limited amount of snow.
Thanks for your help!
Larry

Laarry, I purchased my 99 V70 one year old and it had burned off Michelins.
Some one drove it fast and fun. In consultation with a friend and speed freak
at Discount tires, he recommended Michelin All Season tires. I live in Colorado
so want bite and found them to be plenty response out side of a true snow.
They are quiet, do well in rain, even at higher speeds. The tread is now about
1/2 16,000 miles later. I am pleased so far. Good luck

I use Lemans V70-XC70

Hi,

I am in Chicago and have been unhappy with the OEM Michelin MXV because of:
* poor traction (got me into an accident on a snowy day)
* expensive to replace (some $120.00).

I replaced all4 with "Lemans" tires for roughly $55.00/each (installation, balance included) at a Firestone Dealer.

Apparently "Lemans" tires are made by a subdivision of Firestone, and has very good quality and price. I have driven 10K miles on these Lemans tires and have been happy with them (good traction). I think these Lemans tires are better than The OEM Michelin tires.

Good luck

Ditto on the Dunlop SP5000, I'm on my second set. You didn't specify your model Volvo, size tire, etc. byt they're a fine tire in 205-55/16. They are M&S rated so they're not impossible in the snow like most W and Z rated tires. I also switch to studded snows for the really ugly months.

We have Michiling Pilot XGT H4s on our 855 wagon. Very comparable to the
OEM tire but about $50 cheaper, each.

Best all seasons performance tires according to Tirerack is Dunlop SP5000. I have a set and I would recommend you looking into these. Z rated for your expressway high speed!
