While exploring under the rear driver side floor panels (near bumper) on my 98 V70 XC, I discovered a 2 wire harness that is unused. Is this for a CD changer, trailer lights, or something else?

    How about a little more specifics? Are you in the trunk area under the carpet? or under the car?

      Not under the vehicle, but as you look into to open tailgate, it is on the left side underneath the removeable floor-panel in an open space above the wheel well.

        It might be for the navigation system--that uses a CD-ROM module mounted in the rear...

        There's also the factory cell-phone...

          Might also be the cable for a trunk-mounted CD changer, wife's 95 945T had the same cable pre-installed.
