Volvo Transmission, no reverse 850 1996

When shifting my 1996 Volvo 850 into reverse, nothing happens, the car doesnt move. Also,,,when I shift into neutral, the car will not roll. At the present time it is lodged against the front wall of my garage. Any suggestions?

my '93 did the same thing...new transmission

assuming you didnt downshift while doing 100+, it might be time to part with your old pnp switch. check volvospeed bay13 for instrux on changing.

Would a stuffed PNP cause the vehicle to physically lock up and not be able to roll?
