To all of ya: 850 lovers

I'm planning to install a wood dash kit in my 850. There are severals
suppliers and I dont know wich one to choose from. They all looks great
on pics... Does someone already installed a wood dash kit in his 850 ?
Any recommandations ? I'de like to know if it's worth or not.

Hi.

I have a 1995 850 GLT.

I thought about having a dash trim kit installed in my car and I finally had it done.

My only regret? It's the fact that I only had it done now. Man, what a difference it makes.

I bought the kit from a guy here in Montreal for $225CAN and they installed it for me for an extra $25.00.

My suggestion? Have it done professionally. I watched them while they were doing it and it looked so easy for them. Mind you, they do this thing maybe a few times a week. I'm very handy around the house and around the car but this is not something that I would not even dare try to do.

Pay the extra money and have it done by professionals.

Let me know if you are interested to see some pictures after the installation.

I installed one from Madera Concepts in Santa Barbara, CA.

It fit perfectly, and looked beautiful ... I believe that it's real wood, and looks better than other ones I've seen.

One of the biggest differences is that it SCREWS on to the existing dash with several little tiny screws ... almost like eyeglasses screws. I thought that this looked nice, and it also has allowed the dealer to be able to remove it for the several times they have had to work on the dash or intrument lights.
