CV Boot Replacement 850

While doing a routine inspection I noticed that grease was slung around the front right wheel well. I had the car in the shop today for a oil change and they confirmed that the CV boot was cracked. Quoted me $250.00 to fix. Is this a good price ? How complicated is this job ? Should I let a local mechanic do the job or take it to a Volvo dealership or Volvo independent specialist ?

    read my reply to the post about another torn boot about 5 above yours.

    requires special tools you must remove the axle to replace the boot, better to have the cv rebuilt the damage is already done.
