Big tire wear problem 850 1993

I have a '93 850 GLT, wearing 205/55/15 Brigestone RE720 tires. My every day comute requires me to go threw many twisty roads, therefore my tires wear ALLOT on the out side, leaving the middle new. I don't drive that fast, and i already checked the wheel alignment and all that stuff.
My question is this: what can i do to minimize tire wear, besides having them crossed from time to time? Would a pair of thicker sway bars help? What about a strut bar? Maybe a bit of negative camber? I'm all ears for your opinions and experiences

I had problems with premature tire wear so I went to a highly recommended alignment shop. I found out that there was too much toe-in. After they dialed it in, the tire wear improved and so did the handling.

CHECK THE INFLATION, IF THEY ARE OVER INFLATED THE NTHE MIDDLE WILL WEAR FASTER AND VIE VERSA FOR UNDER INFLATION

A little more negative camber might help. I'm running RE730s and being directional the only solution I see to even up edge wear is to have them pulled off the rims and crossed left to right on the car.

I've had my car aligned and found only the right front was out of spec just a few hundredths of a degree on toe in. It was causing the outer edge to wear. It hasn't been a problem since the alignment.

Even if the tires are properly inflated, cornering like you do will be harder on them than normal. Maybe a bit of negative camber could do. Ask a tire shop what they would suggest. Get 3 opinions and see what is the most common solution.

I suggest that you go to a real tire store and ask for advice. I have been dealing with a family owned store for 40 years, they have seen a LOT of tire problems.

BTW a lot of performance tires are asymetrical with more rubber on the outer edges.

Well...possible an overinflation problem. If you're inflating to the rating on the tire...in the twisties the tire may be heating up so much as to exceed that pressure. Just a guess...but it sounds like a tire pressure problem.

What would be the correct tire pressure then? In my way of seeing it, if this were the case, overinflation would cause the tire to wear the middle more than the outside.

check control arms, if they are bad the outside of the tire will wear extra fast. which tire is it that wears the fastest.

what are your driving habits??????? do you make certain sharpe turns everyday????..........95850
