Heated seat..WAY to hot! S70

The heated seat on the drivers side gets VERY hot quickly. Is there any way to adjust this?

There is no adjustment.

I did have the same problem w/ my seats on two different occassions. Once it was a faulty thermostat and the second time was the wiring system shorted (the heated seat stopped working shortly after it got very hot-How do you say well done on the butt).

I would get it checked out. BTW this is covered under warranty (if you still have one).

Theres supposed to be a thermostat to control the temp. Do not ignore this problem. Saw an interior destroyed by a seat heater fire. The repair bill came to about 5000.00 Luckily no one was injured seriously.

Believe there is a thermostat incorporated into the heater that should turn it off. There has been at least one post here about an overheating seat heater burning a hole through the upholstery! Get it fixed if you value your seat bottom and your own bottom!
