Which oil Grade? S80

Uh-oh its the oil question again!

Does anybody have any experience of running Mobil 1 5w50 Fully Syn in their T6?

I live in the UK and on my booze cruise to France saw this oil was much cheaper than UK 0W40 (£18 as opposed to £33) so bought a tub - or 6!

Just want to check before I pour the stuff in my T6 that its OK. (it meets ACEA A3 specs according to the label?)

Ta.

Which oil Grade?

Karl;

The following information is from a Mobil web site for Australia.

I haven't been using synthetic, but maybe I will start. It always seemed like a waste of money to change your oil every 3K or 4K and put in synthetic which is apparently, designed to last for 10K+, when the manual says to change every 7.5K for regular driving and doesn't specifically recommend synthetic for regular driving.

I would use the viscosity Volvo recommends. 45 point viscosity spreads bother me. I know Mobil uses viscosity improvers to make that spread - use a 10W-30, 5W-30. Just my opinion, and no I don't think that oil will immediately kill your engine, but I just wouldn't go the full European "non-harsh" (ie not extreme conditions) oil change interval recommendation.
