head lights wipers S70 1998

One of my headlights wiper is not returning to the rest position. It is not until I let the car rest for a while and turn the ignition on that the wiper come back to the rest position. Is this a sign of problems with the wiper motor or something else. I would appreciate some ideas on this. Thank, Jerry.

i removed my driver side one last month due to the same thing. i opened it up and found a lot of dirt and stuff in it. i gave it a good blast of carb cleaner and a dab of grease before putting it back together. it now works very good.
    regards

All I can say is that this is a common problem with 850's too. If your wiper has become permanently misadjusted, it can be repositioned. But most of the time, this is not the problem, as you observe. I just learn to live with it, and use the wash function an extra time or two to bring the blades back into sync.
