Seat heaters again... 850 1995

I was following the thread on element replacement but don't think that's my problem. My heaters work but the duration and intensity varies. Sometimes there's very little heat and only in a portion of the seat, sometimes plenty and all over the seat. Ideas?

Thanks for the replys. I'll look into (or under) the seats this week. I'm likely selling the wagon and don't want to make any excuses so I want everything 100%

Seat heaters again...

Erwin-

I experienced a similar problem last year. The problem was related to the electrical adapters under the seat... I cleaned all with contact cleaner and put back together...Since then I've had no problems. Good luck

Jeff, how many electrical adapters are there under each seat and where are they located? Also, what do they look like? I am having the same problem as Erwin but am not convinced that my problem is loose wiring and/or a faulty thermostat, both of which have been checked out by my independent mechanic and are okay I am told. Thanks, Fred.

Seat heaters again...

Erwin,
My quess would be a faulty thermostat or intermittant connection. Both are known to happen. Check for a loose connection (power source with switch on) under the seat, if OK, then suspect the thermostat which is cheap and easy to replace...
