Side Marker Turn Signals on 1993 850..Is the wiring there? 850

I have put in side marker turn signals on my 1995 850. The wiring was already there, I just had to plug in the lights that I got from IPD.

Does anyone know if the wiring is there on the 1993s???

    The 93s mostly had them - if you look about where top door hinge is you might see the wires. To be sure you can give them a little tug and they will pop right out of the holder Volvo puts them in to protect from the elements.

    About 2 months ago I put on some after-market side lamps. Biggest problem is removing Volvo emblem that covers the hole and the 2-sided tape that holds it on

    Nate-

    My '94 855 was pre-wired for the side marker lamps (though I didn't know this until I pulled the Volvo emblems off and looked inside, as described above). I already had a new harness in-hand from IPD, though they took it back on return no problem.

    FYI, I don't know how much these lamps are from IPD, but I just got a pair from FCP Groton (877-634-0063) for $26 plus shipping.

    The only way to know for sure is to take off the side marker covering the hole and look. Volvo has been inconsistent in pre-wiring their vehicles. I too had a 95 850 turbo. It did not have the wires. Neither did my 96 or my current 98 V70R. You got lucky on your 95. The wiring doesn't take too long. I used a straightened shirt hanger to help me.

      You can actually look through forwards into that area with the driver/passenger door open, instead of having to take the Volvo thing off
