Hello,

I'm interested in installing a third row of seating in my 1999 V70 GLT. I see at volvoworld.com they've got a seat for $193.00. Has anyone purchased and installed a third row of seats? The dealer wants $1500.00. That seems absurd. Volvoworld.com states it's a factory seat. Is the installation so horrific that it's worth an additonal 1200? Anyone who has any experience with this type of project PLEASE give me your thoughts.

    I bought an OEM third seat on eBay for about $350. It took me about 4hours to install, but it is definitely something you should do yourself. Make sure it comes with complete instructions. I found out the dealer charges about $800 for the seat and about $400-500 for labor.
