I was wondering what the RPM should read when the car is stopped while in drive mode. I have an automatic and when I wait at a red light, the RPM is showing 900. Is this correct, because someone told me that the RPM level is too high at resting??

I've always seen it at the 900 level when at a stop. Thanks!

    I think it is 850 RPM. Thats what our 95 (auto) and my
    98 (manual) idle at.
