water in passenger compartment 850 1993

I've recently noticed water on the carpet in the driver's well. It seems heaviest at the left front corner, where the left foot rest is located.

It's not a flood or anything too bad but the carpet is wet and the car gets rather humid inside once warmed up and running, making keeping the windows clear a challenge.

Other than having the front windshield resealed, is there any possible cause of this? I have a sunroof and have checked both front drains and they both drain quickly to the ground so I don't think they are blocked.

does this happen after the AC has been used or all of the time? is the AC condensation making it to the ground? the fot rest on the left side just slips into the sheet metal maybe water is getting in there. the foot rest slips up and out to remove it, maybe it just needs a good push down to be seated.

Thanks for replying. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Holidays!!

I'll check those both out. It's Winter in Boston so the A/C has been running (defroster) some. I'll check how well the foot rest is seated too.

Weirdest part is that it only seems to come in when the car is parked! I just drove 4 hours in a serious rain storm the other day and NO water whatsoever. Then, after the car sat in the driveway overnite, the carpet was wet.
