I am posting a question for a none computer person friend.
I was helping a friend change their oil on their 99 S70 GLT and they apparently put the oil filter on a little loosing causing about 3 quarts to leak out. They were wondering if there is any damage to the turbo or the engine. I drove the car and it seems normal to me.

There was still 3.5 qts left in the oil pan so it's unlikely that damage occured. Good thing it was caught in time.

It could have been as low as 3 qts. My friend said no oil lite was lit. I did hear a sound after shut down that sounded weird. There is an electrical noise of something closing down and there was also a mechanical noise that sounded like slightly rough bearings spinning down but not a spinning sound per say.

Mine doesnt have the slightly rough spinning sound. Its hard to hear and most people might not hear it. You can hear it in the cabin and under the hood outside. What is that the bearings on the turbo?
