Ca. emissions VS other states V70-XC70 2002

I have a 2002 V70 T5 being shipped to me. I live in the Seattle area. My question is, does Volvo have a different car for Ca. with their higher emissions standards. or does Volvo have one level of emissions for all states ? and if the Ca. model has more emissions equipment, how much power does it rob ?

Thanks for any info.

Jim

I picked my 2001 V70 T5 up through the TDS program and the Certificate of Origin I received with the vehicle states that it complies with California emissions requirements. I believe all North American spec Volvos follow the same emissions requirements.

Generally, the volvos are made the same for all 50 statres but there has to be a sticker in the engine compartment that says the vehicle complies with CA emissions, otherwise, you have to take the car to a smog test.
