Yes. Your dealer should have a form that you fill out with the service writer's signature and dealer stamp. Its called the Volvo High Mileage Club.

I don't want to appear stupid but...where do you get the medallions ?? I recently bought a 93 850 with 100k on it.

I have an extra 100K badge. I waited a long time for mine and e-mailed VCNA as I thought it was lost. They both arrived within days of each other. I'd be glad to mail it to anyone in need of one.

They are still awarding them, but it can take a looooong while. I just received my 300k medallion about a month ago that I first requested in March. Call the Volvo 800 number and talk with a live human being: the woman I spoke with apologized, saying Volvo's fulfillment house had been deficient early in the year and they've got a better one now. She took the information and my medallion arrived about a month later.

Just be patient: they are worth the wait. My '94 850 and '87 760 each wear a 100k medallion, my '87 760 has almost earned a 200k, and I have a 300k medallion for my '81 240 (but I need to wax the car first).

I still have another 76K miles to go for the 300K one but if they're THAT slow, maybe I should order mine ASAP. Realistically, it's taken me 8.5 yrs to put 100K miles on the car as I don't put many miles on it.

I ordered mine WAY ahead of time (because I heard stories like this) and it arrived almost immediately.

I also ordered it from the Volvo website, the e-request form is under "Owner's Circle" and "Lifestyles". This WAS during the summer, perhaps they have interns with nothing better to do than mail out the medallions.

I also gave it an extra coat of clear automobile spray laquer.

I've been registered there for a while so when I went there, thinking about maybe pre-ordering one WAY in advance (like 76K miles), they already know my cars approximate mileage as shown in a window there (only off by 1000 miles, not bad).
Guess I'll wait.............

I heard from a guy last summer that he was having a hard time trying to obtain a 600K badge, car was nearing 700K. He said that 500K is about the last of 'em for those perhaps nearing that. I might put 400K on my Volvo but I'm doubting 500K+.
