Turbo boost guage

I have a 1994 850 Turbo and the boost guage works intermitantly. The pattern seems to be it doesn't work when the car is cold (I live in CT USA) once it warms up it starts to work. When I say warms up I don't mean the engine I mean the interior of the car. Anyone had this problem?

Thanks

    Turbo boost guage

I would start looking for a vacume leak.

The dash mounted boost gauge is a mechanical, vacuum-operated unit. No electric connections at all. Trace the vacuum lines from the vacuum tree (remove cover from throttle body, 1 T-25 screw) and follow it back to the gauge (or vice-versa!)

might be moisture in mechanical part of the guage or the vacuum line
