Best badge glue? 850

My wagon de-badged it's tailgate. All three, "Volvo", "850" and "Turbo" fell off within the last month. Fortunately, they all fell off in my driveway when I gently closed the gate.

What's the recommended glue? Hot melt? Super glue?

Thanks 850

I have a roll of the 3M double-sided tape. I'll try it.

The 3M foam tape is pretty good. I re-installed a pair of Volvo ventvisors with the stuff and it lasted for 4 years before it started coming loose. The ventvisors lead a pretty hard life. The tape on new ventvisors is clear.

I'd be tempted to see what your dealer has to offer. Our '88 740 shows no signs of losing its badges.

Are there any signs that the emblems were replaced by someone?

I would remove another badge from the car to see if the glue is the same. Also to check its condition. Gluing on 4 badges is not much harder than three.

DONT use glue, use instead a double sided acrylic foam tape made by 3M, available in auto parts. This tape is specially designed for that purpose.
you'll need an exacto to trim around and clean your badges and tailgate
surface with isopropyl alcohol.
