Depends on how it has been maintained. I change oil every 5K. Also I have the low pressure turbo. The Standard V-70 w/o the turbo is something of a slow ride. That said it should last a looong time. I have only had one problem in 26K on a '01. After I convinced the dealership that I was not a mental case, and not fooling, they took care of it. There is not much on the car other than changing the lightbulbs, oil and filter, that you can do. Oh yes, almost forgot, you can still check the air in the tires. The intigrated electronics get mixed reviews from me. I also have a '91 940 and it is a damn sight easier to work on. The new OBDC-2 (onboard diagnostic computer 2nd. edition) makes it a good deal harder to make modifications. The intigrated circuitry means that everything that runs on electricity runs thru a computer. Example, I installed a set of fog lights, and had to have the dealership set a switch in the computer so they would work. I'm not amused! not at $70.00 an hour for a techie to throw one switch on a computer. Took him all of 10 minutes. The car is much quieter than the older model, runs smoother, and is a little softer sprung (not a good feature for me.) But it's my wife's car and she loves it. So try it out for a day or so and see what you think. Regards
Sam in Cinci.
